Talking your language

ADT is the UK’s leading provider of electronic fire and security solutions, protecting 89 out of the UK’s top 100 companies and more than 160,000 homes. With over a century’s worth of experience it is behind many familiar names, including Minerva MX fire

We understand that different customers have different requirements, and we structure our business to reflect this, with specialist teams to support, install and maintain our FM customers, ADT can protect every kind of building, no matter how large or small, providing total security solutions to suit your very specific needs.

Facilities management is a specialised market and ADT understand that facilities management is driven by response times and reports, we know there is a need for regular and accurate information to ensure cost efficiencies and appreciate the value placed on the achievement of stringent key performance indicators (KPIs). It is imperative that suppliers understand the market, talk your language, and deliver solutions by working with you throughout each and every project.

ADT understand that every installation and every contract is prepared individually to find a solution focused on our customers’ needs and priorities. The specialist knowledge we have gained through years of experience means that we are ready to provide solutions at any level; from the smallest building to multi-national contracts, from underground car parks to the tallest office blocks.

A particular strength of ADT is its ability to integrate different types of systems, whether they are linked security systems (e.g. CCTV monitoring for access control purposes) or combined fire and security systems interfaced to a building management system. Our expertise across all types of electronic security means we develop our solutions based on best practice, for example offering an enhanced CCTV system that monitors rooms only when occupied, or raise an alert where an occupant demonstrates concerning behaviors.

As a result of extensive research with companies in the market, listening to issues and concerns, and understanding specific requirements, ADT has created a dedicated team to work with facilities management companies to deliver innovative fire and security solutions. The team has an in-depth knowledge of the facilities management market enabling ADT to maintain a strong focus on individually designed fire and security solutions. But the most significant development is an innovative reporting tool called the Facilities Management (FM) Wrap – a unique suite of reports and business critical information delivered on a daily basis and tailored to assist in achieving your KPIs.
This fully automated management information tool monitors ADT fire and security systems across multi-site facilities, documents all associated calls and response activity, and in turn reports on progress and identifies solutions. The uniqueness and flexibility of this system means that the FM Wrap can report by response time, time period, call time, time and date the call is completed, calls by system type, cause of the call and can track all activity including escalation of an issue.

What does this mean to you?
In developing this management information tool ADT are providing daily information which allows extensive management of all calls and control of the response to an individual customer or site. Through regular contact, status updates and the reporting of system calls and the cause of the call, ADT can identify potential problems and recommend improvements or upgrades to the installed system to create better efficiencies and enable the system to effectively deliver capability requirements, and importantly through the analysis of patterns we can identify user error much earlier before it becomes a problem.

By processing and delivering this information by email daily, it not only ensures open dialogue between ADT and you, but also enables you to manage the expectation from your own customer. ADT realise you have specific KPI’s to meet for every facility site and understand the consequences of failing to achieve these targets. Primarily, the report demonstrates accurate response times to call outs, but in the event of a longer term solution to a system issue, the daily report identifies current status and updates estimated time of completion.

The FM Wrap is an access based, stand alone, data processing tool that interfaces all ADT databases and systems, collating data for the previous 24 hours and combining into one database. This data is then output as standard tables, charts and graphs to visually represent the data reports and easily identify anomalies.

Working with ADT, the leading security specialist, from the outset, buildings can not only be designed with systems that support safety, security and freedom but can be maintained efficiently and cost effectively.
