Carillion has won facilities management contracts for the Nationwide Building Society and for Virgin Media that together are worth up to £204m.

The contract with Nationwide Building Society is for the provision of facilities management services for the Society’s entire property portfolio in the UK. Carillion already provides facilities management services for the Society’s administration estate.

Under the new contract, Carillion will also provide a total facilities management solution for the Society’s high-street branches, of which it has more than 800 throughout the UK.

The contract starts this month and will be for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend this for a further two years.

Carillion has also been awarded a new facilities management contract by Virgin Media, which renews a current agreement and extends Carillion’s partnership with Virgin Media to at least mid-2013 and potentially to mid-2015. John McDonough, Carillion group chief executive, said the contracts demonstrated the strong relationships the company had developed with both customers.
