Euston architects appointed

Allies and Morrison have been appointed to oversee a £1 billion redevelopment of Euston station

The much maligned concrete box of Euston station is set to undergo redevelopment. Proposals put forward by British Land and Network Rail have appointed Allies and Morrison to develop a plan for the scheme. Set to take the form of an integrated, mix-usage development, it will cover the 15 acre site.

The stated aim is to submit a planning application by 2010 to completely restructure the 1960s building: a station built during the last significant era of rail investment.
