2009-04-16

The Talbot Gateway agreement between the council and Muse Developments covers a 10-hectare area centred around Blackpool North Station and Talbot Road, with the creation of 160,000 sq m of new office and business space, complemented by a new supermarket, hotels, shops, cafes and restaurants. Council leader, Councillor Peter Callow, said: “The signing of this agreement is excellent news for Blackpool, both for our residents and visitors. It’s a major step forward in turning this multimillion-pound development into reality, and a massive vote of confidence in Blackpool, particularly during a time of recession.”
