Investing in property
CB Richard Ellis Investors (CBRE Investors) is a multi-strategy investment management firm which prides itself on creating a series of real estate investment programs which are diversified by strategy, country and/or relative risk or return
Global implementation
CBRE Investors has been using Yardi global asset and property management solutions for more than five years in the United States and has maintained a consistent approach to upgrading to the most current technology. With the expansion of its investment programs in the UK and Europe, CBRE Investors recognised the need to implement a single global platform allowing them to report seamlessly across continents and in line with global IT strategy. This led to the selection of Yardi Voyager International and its new Portfolio Accounting Module.
Chris Boatfield-Bell, Financial Controller for European Funds, has the responsibility for monitoring and reporting on all European funds and is very happy with the choice of Yardi for their European fund management: “The Yardi solution is great as it combines property and portfolio management in one real-time, Internet based system,” enthused Mr Boatfield-Bell. “What’s more it is very user-friendly with drill-downs that make it simple and intuitive.”
Portfolio accounting made easy
“Our new investment programs in the United Kingdom will run on the new Yardi portfolio management module,” continued Mr Boatfield-Bell, “and all future investment programs in the UK, France and Germany will be put onto the system as they come online.”
Interaction with Yardi
During implementation CBRE Investors had daily interaction with Yardi. “The Yardi team is very easy to get hold of, quick with responses and very helpful” said Mr Boatfield-Bell. “They definitely know what they are talking about.”
“Overall we are very happy with everything. Yardi’s service is first rate and we are getting our money’s worth” concluded Mr Boatfield-Bell. “The amount of support we have had from the team has indeed been impressive.”
Summing up
“Voyager International covers all involved from investors to property managers. It is a web-based, real-time solution which is easy to use. Lots of things are automated and are just a click away. I look forward to the new version coming out at the end of the year.” Chris Boatfield-Bell
