LaSalle Investment Management has completed a letting to Menzies Distribution at the Larkfield Industrial Estate, in Aylesford, Kent. Menzies currently occupies a warehouse of more than 50,000 sq ft and it has taken a further 9,000 sq ft unit.

The estate is located to the north west of Maidstone and close to junction 4 of the M20. Other major occupiers in the New Hythe Industrial area include Business Express, Aylesford Newsprint, Kent Messenger Group and Whirlpool.

Toby Wenham, associate director at LaSalle, said the estate provided “a great strategic location for rapid communication” to the national motorway network, Channel ports and the Channel Tunnel.

The news comes within a fortnight of the global real estate investment manager announcing completing the sale of a unit at Westgate industrial park in Northampton for £1.45m. The distribution unit, which was previously leased to the Outdoor Group, was bought by the owner-occupier, Plastico, a British manufacturer of plastic tableware.
