LaSalle Investment Management is extending the main anchor unit at the High Chelmer Shopping Centre in Chelmsford, Essex, from 37,000sq ft to 61,000sq ft. The store will be leased to Primark, which will open in autumn 2012.
JJB, which currently occupies the property, will relocate to a new 12,000 sq ft unit which is being created from the demolition of three existing outlets. Steve Bateman, associate director of LaSalle Investment Management, said the centre now had “the right mix of tenants”. LaSalle was advised by Cushman & Wakefield LLP, Primark acted for itself, CB Richard Ellis advised New Look and BCL advised JJB.
