Standard Life Investments has appointed Powell Williams to manage the refurbishment of St Anns House, just off Deansgate, Manchester.

The refurbishment of the 37,000 sq ft St Anns Square property, which comprises four storeys of office accommodation and several ground and first-floor shops, is expected to take 14 weeks at a cost of £1.3m. The work includes extensive remodelling of the entrance area.

The upgrade is the latest phase of works from the national building surveying and project management practice which has been long involved with the property, through sale and purchase, for more than a decade.
