Maxim Office Park, in Lanarkshire, has secured an anchor letting of Maxim 6 to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) on a 20-year lease. The 60,000 sq ft building forms part of the largest speculative office development in the UK.

The deal, which comes hard on the heels of the recently announced capital restructuring of Maxim and appointment of Arisaig Property Partners as the new asset managers, enables SEPA to bring several operations under one roof.

Sepa chief executive Dr Campbell Gemmell said the facility would reduce the environmental footprint of its estate which was one of its key objectives. “It will provide the operational base for our regulatory teams for west central Scotland, an excellent working environment for several related national functions and a brand new, first class laboratory facility.”

Maxim Office Park comprises more than 756,000 sq ft of office and retail space across 10 buildings. CB Richard Ellis and Ryden represented Maxim Office Park. Cushman & Wakefield acted for SEPA.
