Everything you require
Estates Review discovers why Property Requirements.com is everything a property investor could want in a website
The aptly named Property Requirements.com was launched at MAPIC in November 2007 with great success having not only sponsored the EG awards and presenting the European Retail Personality of the Year to Eric Kuhne but also sponsoring the entire auction at the Shop Agents Society Xmas dinner at the Park Lane Hilton, London.
Propertyrequirements.com has also secured an eye-catching weekly advertising campaign in the Property Week and Estates Gazette on an ongoing basis. Further sponsorship in the pipeline includes the North West Property Awards on the 28th February 2008 and the Retail & Leisure Awards on the 3rd June 2008. All this has given the website enormous exposure and credibility very quickly and I challenge any property professional not to take notice.
It is the brainchild of 3 individuals with a wealth of experience in the property industry. They believe the website is bringing a much needed service, which is accessible to everyone, that has been lacking in the past. They boast that it is the only free-to-use, easily accessible and most up-to-date requirements website available and looking at the site I can see why.
On entering the site, you are presented with a clear-cut but well designed home page where navigation is simple. Here you can choose to research and find out more about the site and look at the latest property news, or you can click onto ‘browse’ and begin searching for those active requirements, although detailed information requires registration. You can also give Property Requirements.com feedback on how to make the site better for you.
Requirements can be submitted free of charge, as a listing only, but can be upgraded to one of two flexible packages plus a bespoke tailor made package for that big expansion programme. Cleverly, the benefit of upgrading to one of the packages is to ensure a higher and more visible listing on the search results. They can also include banner advertising and company logo’s in their own national advertising campaigns depending on the package taken. These packages certainly insure that a requirement gets noticed.
Also another benefit of the packages is you have the facility to update your own requirements and you can monitor statistics on number of hits and searches. This gives the advertiser instant information on the effectiveness of their advertising.
The country has been divided into 10 regions so advertisers can target specific areas of the UK & Ireland without incurring national advertising costs and doing blanket emails. Regions are available from as little as £495 for 6 months.
For the user there is a quick registration process after which they can search over 50,000 national and regional requirements. Once registered you have full access to requirement details including contact numbers, email addresses and all other information needed.
After inputting basic information on a potential property, which can contain town, region, site area, size and even company name, the database will match all active requirements. These are listed by Premium Packages followed by Standard Packages and then free listings, and you are a click away from all the relevant information including a direct email to the specific contact of your choice. There is a very clear benefit to being up the list.
They are already on ‘Phase 2’, which includes new features and information along with expanding into the Development, Industrial and Office sectors. Their next aim is to launch into Europe before 2010 and eventually worldwide.
In summary this should be the first place to visit if you are marketing or considering marketing a property and definitely if you wish to inform the industry of your or your clients expansion programme.
